Coming back from break, Craig brought up the hot topic of animal superheroes and his co-host for the day, Chris Simms, did his best to roll with it.  We heard about Underdog, Mighty Mouse and Hong Kong Phooey to name a few.

Eventually the focus was shifted to the attention-starved Jerry Recco, who sure loves when the spotlight is on him.

The Mets have had the spotlight on them all season and over the last seven games, Terry Collins' club has wilted. On Wednesday night in Milwaukee, the Mets lost to the Brewers 4-1 and afterwards the aforementioned Mets skipper could be heard saying his team needs to play harder, although he had a tough time actually describing what exactly he meant.

Before Jerry could continue, Craig took a call from the lovely Jenn, who started listening to the radio program about four years ago in order to reach a common ground with her son and wanted to call to offer thanks.  We also learned that the admirable Jenn donated a kidney to her husband, who she met on something called J-Date.

Back to the update, which continued with the story surrounding the Yankees' 10-2 win over the Phillies.  Ivan Nova sparkled in his long-awaited return following Tommy John surgery and Chris Young was enlightened by the one and only Suzyn Waldman.

Plus, the NBA Draft is tonight and the Knicks have the fourth overall pick, the Blazers trade Nicolas Batum to the Hornets, Batum's old teammate LaMarcus Aldridge also reportedly looking to bolt from Portland and Kevin Love opts out of his deal with the Cavs...
