Odell Beckham: I've Been Frustrated, But I Have No Issues With Teammates

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There's no question that Odell Beckham Jr. is frustrated.

But upset with his teammates? Not the case, the Giants' star wide receiver claims.

"I have no problem with anybody on the team, or inside, or anything," the reigning AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year told the New York Post on Wednesday night.

It's been a rough go for Beckham of late. Nursing a hamstring injury, he missed most of spring practice and all of last week's minicamp. He was understandably upset last week because he couldn't participate, and reports came out that the 22-year-old was getting tired of his teammates' ribbing.

Last week on WFAN, quarterback Eli Manning insisted that the joking is all in fun, and the dynamic playmaker needs to understand that.

"You're not practicing and people are going to get on you a little bit," Manning told Boomer & Carton. "It's usually in fun, but I'm sure he's sick of it."

Last Thursday, a clearly perturbed Beckham left the locker room abruptly, skipping his scheduled media session.

"It was more of, you know, I feel like you can't take someone's words and you can't really tell the tone they're saying," Beckham told the Post. "I'm like, 'Yeah, it gets a bit frustrating when teammates joke with you,' and it gets written that he's frustrated with teammates and it's like it's not how it sounds. It's weird sometimes."

Beckham was brilliant for Big Blue last season, catching 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games.
