6/28 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

The storm that brought soaking rain to our area last night is still in our neck of the woods, and it's still keeping a fair amount of clouds in the area. As such, we'll have mostly cloudy skies tonight with some partial clearing heading toward daybreak. Not expecting rain, just a cloud-filled night with mild temps dropping into the mid 60s overnight.

Evening Tonight Board

Tomorrow will start off with some sunshine for the morning hours, and increasing clouds in the afternoon ahead of a weak disturbance. It will be warmer with a high of 80 in NYC, 70s most elsewhere. Looks like we'll stay dry, perhaps with the exception of Sullivan/Ulster/Dutchess Counties where there's a slim chance for a passing sprinkle. Overall it looks like a nice Monday with filtered sun and temps closer to normal.

Evening Monday Highs

Tuesday and Wednesday will be fairly similar days - partly sunny, warm, and more humid with a chance for showers/thunderstorms both days. In fact, some storms could be strong...but we still have some time to watch the elements come into place.

Warm the rest of the week with at least a few showers Thursday morning, dry Friday, and perhaps early morning showers on July 4th - temps in the low 80s each day.
