Suspect Sought In Bedford-Stuyvesant Home Invasion, Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Tuesday were searching for a suspect in a home invasion and robbery this past spring in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, an unspecified number of suspects stormed up to a man and pushed him into his Greene Avenue apartment at gunpoint after he answered a knock at the door, police said.

The suspects ordered the man to lie on the floor, where they tied his hands behind his back using a T-shirt, police said.

The suspects took $1,500 in cash, jewelry, a 55-inch TV, and iPhone, and a laptop, police said.

The victim suffered a cut to his lip, but declined medical attention, police said.

Police have released surveillance images of one of the suspects.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
