7/19 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon!

No doubt about it, today is feeling downright oppressive out there. We're forecasting the warmest day thus far this summer, and with the humidity, it'll feel even hotter. Expect temps to top out in the low/mid 90s inland and mid/upper 80s along the coast. Factor in that humidity and heat indices will be 95-100 degrees! Heat advisories and warnings are in effect.

There is a chance of some late-day isolated storms, especially north and west of the city, and that chance continues overnight. Another mild night ahead with lows only reaching the mid 70s in the city.

Tomorrow will be another hot one with temps in the upper 80s and low 90s. Dew points will start to drop off later in the day, so slightly less humid by tomorrow evening. There is still the chance of a pop-up storm or two, but it's looking like more will stay dry. The storm chance lingers into Tuesday before high pressure finally takes back over for the remainder of the week.
