Police: Woman Was Driving Drunk With 3 Kids In Car During Hit-And-Run

OCEANSIDE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police say a Long Island woman was driving drunk with three kids in the car when she rear-ended another vehicle and fled.

Eileen Danon, 43, was arrested at 8 p.m. Friday as she pulled into her driveway in Oceanside, Nassau County police said.

Police say Danon was drunk and her three children ages 6, 9 and 11 were in the car.

Police say the officer had gone to Danon's address because the driver of a car that was rear-ended in Long Beach earlier noted the license plate of the car that left the scene.

No one was injured in the accident.

Danon was arrested on charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
