TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The Garden State is catching some hate.
According to a new Monmouth University poll, 55 percent of New Jerseyans have a positive opinion about living in the state -- a 35-year low, 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet reported.

"You know, it's dirty," said one resident.
"The high taxes," another resident said.
"The roads need to be paved," said one man.
Francis told Granet he thinks he might know one reason why. He said there are some "bro-y" people in the state.
"You know, the salmon shorts...salmon colored shorts, usually a baby blue shirt," he said.
The opinion poll is down from 63 percent in February.
