The Baseball Locals Just Keep Winning, And That's A Good Thing

In what has been a regular occurrence lately here on the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza, the guys got things started by discussing the success of both the Yankees and the Mets, as both local baseball teams emerged victorious Tuesday night.

The Yankees did so in spectacular fashion, if you will, as Joe Girardi's club exploded for nine runs in the seventh inning on their way to a 13-3 pasting of the Red Sox.  The Mets got another great performance courtesy of Jon Niese, and used that to grind out a 5-1 win over the Marlins down in Miami.

So both teams are in first place, and aside from Boomer complaining about Yoenis Cespedes batting second rather than third, it was all good to open up the radio program.

The majority of Craig's excitement actually stemmed from what's to come, rather than what happened last night.  You see, Craig is very much looking forward to the MLB debut of Luis Severino, who will make the start for the Yanks tonight in the Bronx.
