8/9 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening everybody! The weekend is drawing to a close and while there were some clouds around both days, it remained dry and comfortable. Not too bad! We'll stay dry tonight with a mild low of 70 in the city...but the dry streak will end tomorrow.

An unsettled start to the work week looms as a frontal system approaches from the west. There could be a few showers and some drizzle tomorrow morning but the better bet would be tomorrow night and Tuesday. It'll be a bit muggier tomorrow with a high of 81, feeling closer to 85 with higher humidity.

Tomorrow night into Tuesday could feature some heavier storms leading to local flooding/drainage issues...but the fact is we do need the rain as we've been drier than normal this year. The good news is that rain and clouds move out and give way to sunny skies Wednesday through Friday with temps in the low-mid 80s!
