Police: Toms River Woman Arrested For DWI With Child In Car
TOMS RIVER, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A Toms River woman faces a variety of charges after getting into an accident Tuesday evening.
At around 7:30 p.m., Jennifer Hyman was driving her Jeep along Cedar Grove Road when she turned onto Bay Avenue and hit a Toyota, police said.
Hyman's 6-year-old son was in her Jeep at the time of the crash, police said.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to a nearby medical center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Responding officers arrested Hyman for DWI, police said.
While she was being arrested, she resisted and attempted to kick an officer when he tried to place her in handcuffs, according to police.
Hyman faces DWI, resisting arrest and child neglect charges.
Bail was set at $50,000.
