8/19 CBS2 Wednesday Evening Weather Headlines

Good evening all,

Hope you've had a good day. We can expect a few showers over the next few days but most of the activity will quiet overnight.

We did have very intense flooding today around Scotch Plains, New Jersey near Route 22. A total of 3-4" of rain fell in the matter of a few hours causing some pretty devastating flooding. Roads were blocked off and some homes were damaged. Check back into our newscast for more information tonight.

The risk will roll on through early Saturday as front will possibly stall offshore allowing some wrap around precipitation to fall. Still waiting to see how it interacts with a low offshore.
