Long Island Man Says Blind Date Broke Into House, Stole Pills

BOHEMIA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- John Gallagher says he's done with going on blind dates.

The Bohemia, Long Island, man told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall he was set up by his friends Friday night. After dinner, the two couples ended up at his house on the deck.

Gallagher said there was no connection between he and his date and he thought he would never see her again. But it turns out he did -- on his home surveillance video.

Gallagher said his date sneaked into his house Monday through the doggy door and stole Vicodin pills prescribed to him after dental surgery.

"I kind of reviewed my cameras. And lo and behold, there was that person I went out with on Friday night sneaking around," Gallagher said.

"I was completely floored that somebody would actually stoop to that level for a few pills of pain medication."

He said he found it odd that during their date she kept going in and out of the house to use the restroom.

After discovering she had stolen his pills, Gallagher called the police, and the woman was arrested.
