At 7-lbs 13-ounces, Bella Rose Abbud is a quiet, gentle, healthy baby.

She entered the world with a bang in the front seat of the family car on Saturday night in Sea Bright.

"She put the seat in recline, took her pants off. I saw the baby's head and I'm like 'oh my goodness,'" Trevor Abbud said.

Abbud was trying to get his wife to the hospital which is 6 miles down Ocean Avenue, but on a Saturday night with traffic, the baby wasn't going to wait, so he stopped and yelled for help.

"This lady, person in front of me was the trauma nurse. This lady Sarah, she's like 'I'm a trauma nurse,'" Abbud said.

"As soon as I stepped out I could hear him screaming," Sarah Wood said.

Wood was headed to a party at the Sands beach club across the street. She heard the 23-year-old yelling and rushed over to help.

"The baby's head and shoulders were out, one more push the baby was out. A few seconds alter she started crying and with that I could hear Trevor behind me. He was completely panicked," Wood said.

Lauren Kammerer works at the club and is also an EMT. She ran over to assist wood.

The Ambulance rushed baby Bella and her mother to the hospital.

"We kept everything together until the ambulance came with the OB bag that had the clamps and Trevor was able to cut the cord," Wood said.

"I can't express how thankful I am at both of them," Abbud said.

Bella is the couple's second child. They also have a 17-month-old son. The baby and he mother were resting in the hospital on Sunday night.
