8/24 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines

Good evening everyone!

I hope you had a good weekend and I hope your Monday was pleasant as well.

We hit 87° today, the 46th day in a row with temps above 80. We beat the record at 42 and have been rolling since. It would be pretty impressive to hit 50 days.

A weak cold front is approaching as we speak. It has broken up in form and two pieces of energy are left -- one cell around northern New Jersey and one more approaching the southern portion of the Jersey Shore.

Tonight will be mild and muggy. Skies will have more clouds tomorrow as the front passes, but by mid afternoon it clear the zone and we tap into quieter, less humid conditions.
