Fresh off a three-day weekend, the Dynamic Radio Duo of Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton got things started Monday morning by discussing the baseball locals after the Mets took care of business in Colorado and will now welcome David Wright back when they travel to Philadelphia for a four-game set with the Phillies.

As for the Yankees, they lost three of four to the Indians and now trail the first-place Blue Jays by a half-game in the AL East.  Making matters worse, it appears that CC Sabathia will miss a significant amount of time, if not the rest of the season, after leaving Sunday's game with pain in his surgically repaired knee.  Up next for the Bombers, a three-game series with the Astros in the Bronx.

On to the NFL as both the Giants and the Jets have injury concerns as they try to navigate their way through the preseason, and a couple of Hall of Famers have their advice second guessed...
