After Boomer got through advocating for Sandy Alderson to be the MLB Executive of the Year, it was everyone's favorite update anchor's time to shine.

Jerry Recco started with the Yankees, who fell into second place after getting beat down 15-1 in the Bronx by the Astros.  Houston outfielder Carlos Gomez ruffled a few feathers with a bat flip in the sixth, which we heard all about.

The Mets, on the other hand, won their fifth in a row, a 6-5 win in Philly (where the Pope will soon be making a visit). They still hold a 5 1/2-game lead over the Nationals.
