Possible Hate Crime Under Investigation In Borough Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD wants your help finding the suspect in an apparent anti-Semitic attack in Borough Park.

The incident took place at around 9:30 a.m. at 44th Street and 9th Avenue in Brooklyn on June 23, police said.

A 67-year-old man was walking to his home when an unknown man approached him from behind and began punching him repeatedly, police said. The suspect made anti-Semitic remarks during the attack, according to police.

The victim was taken to an area hospital.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect, which they describe as a "dark-skinned male." They are investigating the attack as a hate crime.
