8/30 Sunday Morning Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good mornin', everyone! Gonna be a hot & muggy day today, and there is a chance for a few isolated showers far north/west of NYC in the PM. Lookin' good at the beaches - just be aware of a moderate risk for rip currents. Despite more clouds today, it won't be too bad overall!
We'll start the new week and turn up the heat & humidity, Mother Nature isn't paying any attention to the calendar. Looks like we could get our second official heat wave of the year at least three days of possible 90+ temps. The week ahead will be quite warm and humid with any sort of "relief" not until the weekend after a cold front moves through Friday. Expect upper 80s and a few 90s each day.
Enjoy the heat, folks!
