8/30 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hope you had a chance to enjoy the lovely weekend -- despite the increased clouds and humidity today. It'll be a mostly cloudy night with temps dropping to the low 70s around town and into the 60s in the 'burbs. Looks like we'll clear out by the time you wake up.

Tomorrow will be a hot end to the month of August. Temps will break into the 90s, and it'll be much more humid as well. Just like on Sunday, there's a chance for a few widely scattered showers north/west of NYC, but for the most part expect partly sunny skies ... and feeling like a sauna!

September starts on Tuesday, and the heat will reign supreme with a few more days getting at or above 90. Looks like it'll be mainly dry for most, and the next chance for "relief" comes Friday as a front approaches the area ... but we'll only drop into the mid/upper 80s next weekend.

Stay cool, everybody!
