Cheerleader Seriously Injured After Fall During Practice In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A high school cheerleader was hospitalized Tuesday evening, after falling during practice in the Bronx.

The cheerleader at Pelham Memorial High School suffered serious neck injuries when she fell around 6:30 p.m., officials told CBS2.

She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was reported in serious condition, officials said.

The girl's name and age were not immediately available.
