Jerry Rice paid a visit to the Allstate Studio on Thursday morning and Craig got things started by asking the Hall of Famer about his use of Stickum during his playing days.
With that out of the way, Rice, who was here on behalf of Van Heusen, talked about the fond memories he has whenever he crosses paths with Boomer. The two, of course, squared off in Super Bowl XXIII in Miami, where Rice's 49ers beat Boomer's Bengals, 20-16.
We heard about how the Blonde Bomber and the greatest receiver who ever lived were almost teammates in Cincinnati and Rice claimed he doesn't need to wear his Hall of Fame ring in order to get attention, thanks to his good looks.
Rice offered his take on Geno Smith having his jaw broken by a teammate, dispelled an urban legend involving Charles Haley, said he believes he could still play today and added he's ultra-impressed by the Giants' Odell Beckham Jr., calling second-year wide receiver's one-handed grab last season the best catch he'd ever seen.
While saying goodbye, Boomer accidentally dropped Rice's Hall of Fame ring. How 'bout that?!?
