New York (CBSNewYork) CBSNewYork.com and 1010 WINS have teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable animals looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Portland, Briella and Lex.

Portland (ID#: A1052824 - photo above) "Portland is a very cute, sweet, playful, and loving dog," his foster mom writes. "He is very friendly to everyone! He is crate-trained, can stay at home alone, rarely barks, and has fantastic leash manners. He loves to play with toys (but does not destroy them) and knows the command sit.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES being pet and getting scratches all over!" Meet this approximately three-year-old sweetie at ACC's Manhattan Care Center at 326 E. 110th Street or at Saturday's adoption event at Petco Sheepshead Bay.

"He'll smush right down wherever he is, and if you stop, he'll rush right up to you and gently butt your hand with his head to get more of the love.  Lex is as beautiful as he is sweet - his coat is mostly a mix of gray and an orange-y cream color, and he has wonderfully fluffy cheeks." Meet approximately 10-month-old Lex at ACC's Manhattan Care Center at 326 E. 110th Street.
