Boomer & Carton: Fitzpatrick To Start, Collins Gets An Extension And Knicks Provide Hope In Defeat

Craig was pleased to hear that all signs are pointing to Ryan Fitzpatrick making the start this Sunday when his Jets welcome the Jacksonville Jaguars to MetLife Stadium.

The veteran signal-caller will surely be playing in pain, which one can't help but admire.

Boomer & Carton got the ball rolling Thursday morning by discussing Fitzpatrick's toughness before moving on to the Mets, who "rewarded" Terry Collins with a two-year contract extension believed to worth about $3 million.

The guys were in agreement that Collins was not properly compensated, but Boomer was quick to point out that MLB has become a GM's league, a point that's tough to argue. Speaking of which, the Mets' GM, Sandy Alderson, was present at Wednesday's press conference, but proceeded to pass out after apparently not eating breakfast.

In addition, the Knicks lost to LeBron James and the Cavaliers but are giving their fans reason to believe.
