NYPD: Man Helped Duo Attack, Rob Roommate In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man faces several charges for allegedly helping a pair of men attack and rob his roommate in Queens last month.

Police determined Antonio Cordova, 41, showed the two suspects the Elm Avenue apartment before they broke into it in the early morning hours of Oct. 3, according to the NYPD.

The suspects were armed with a firearm, stun gun and knives when they forced their way into the apartment, police said.

They used the stun gun on Cordova's 30-year-old roommate and slashed him as he tried to fight them off, police said.

The suspects took cash from a safe, along with two watches before they fled the scene, police said.

The victim was treated at Flushing Hospital.

Cordova is charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police are still looking for the two suspects, who were caught on surveillance video in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
