Interview: Psychotherapist Offers Advice On How To Explain Terror Attacks To Children
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One week after the attacks on Paris, Parisians took to the streets to show the terrorists they're not afraid.
People danced to music at 9:20 p.m. -- the time the attacks began last Friday. Sidewalks were busy again and a concert went on as planned.
But in the wake of the attacks, images of terror and violence have filled television screens across the United states. The news, disturbing for adults, can be even harder for kids to understand.
So how do you go about explaining what happened? Licensed New Jersey psychotherapist Tom Kersting sat down with CBS2's Andrea Grymes to offer some advice.
