2 Women In Vehicle Wounded In Linden, N.J. Shooting; Car Goes On To Crash

LINDEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two women were wounded Tuesday evening in a shooting in Linden, New Jersey.

The women were in a vehicle in the 900 block of Middlesex Street in Linden when they were shot around 7:15 p.m., police told 1010 WINS.

After the women were shot, the vehicle traveled to Bower and East Henry streets, and slammed into a pole, police said.

It was unclear whether the vehicle was traveling when the two victims were shot, or if they were sitting still in their car.

Both women were rushed to University Hospital in Newark in unknown conditions, police said.

There was no information about a suspect late Tuesday.
