Car Jumps Curb As Suspect Tries To Escape From Cops In East New York
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A car jumped onto the sidewalk in Brooklyn as a suspect tried to get away from police on Friday.
Witnesses said the suspect was barreling the wrong way down Fountain Avenue in East New York, and was boxed in by cops, when he jumped the curb.
The suspect his another car with a man and his godson inside.
"He jumps on the sidewalk, starts playing bumper cars with one or two police cars, pushed one out of the way, then starts down the block, runs into my car. I was in there with my godson, it was chaotic," Manuel Guardiola said.
The man, his godson, and the suspect all had minor injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody, but it is unclear why police were following him.
