Teen Arrested After Making Threat At LI High School, Police Say

LONG BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A student has been arrested after allegedly making a suspicious threat at a Long Island high school, according to police.

A 15-year-old boy was sitting in a classroom at Long Beach High School when he wrote a threatening words on a desk that caused students and faculty to become alarmed, according to police. An investigation was conducted and the teen was taken into custody. No details on the specifics of the threat were given.

The teen was transported to the Nassau County Police Department for processing, according to police.

The teen is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at the Nassau County Family Court in Westbury.
