Police Search For 2 Suspects In Hell's Kitchen Attack

NEW YORK -- Police were searching Thursday night for two men who attacked and beat two victims on busy Tenth Avenue in Hell's Kitchen earlier this month.

Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, two men walked up to the victims in front of 666 Tenth Ave., just south of 47th Street, police said. The suspects and the victims got into a quarrel, and the suspects struck the victims with blunt objects, police said.

One of the victims suffered a concussion and fractured ribs, while the other suffered a swollen right hand, police said.

Both were taken to Mount Sinai West Hospital for treatment, police said.

The suspects were both described as Hispanic males between the ages of 20 and 25. One had a slim build and was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, light-colored pants, black and white sneakers, and a Mohawk-style haircut. The other had a heavy build, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark-colored pants, white sneakers and a dark-colored baseball cap.

Police have released surveillance images of both suspects, which appear to show each of them carrying a long object in each hand.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
