Queens-Bound Lane Of Midtown Tunnel To Close Overnight For Repairs

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Starting Monday, the Queens-bound side of the Midtown Tunnel will be closed overnight during weekdays, as the MTA works to restore damages to the structure caused by Superstorm Sandy.

The MTA said one tube of the Midtown Tunnel will be closed between 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with Friday night closures running from 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday.

The closures will be in effect for 12 weeks.
