Spas Aren't Just For Humans: Pamper Your Pooch This Valentine's Day

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Animals are feeling the love this Valentine's Day as people look to pamper their pets with all the luxuries of five-star spa.

At the Morris Animal Inn in Morristown, New Jersey, it's all about pampering pooches.

"This Valentine's Day as you're with your special someone, you don't want to forget about your four-legged, lovable, furry family member," said Deb Montgomery with Morris Animal Inn.

Luxury services that would relax even the busiest person are served up for these clients. A little agility training and tread mill work followed by a light swim in a heated pool starts the day. Then it's time to release stress with a baby powder belly rub.

"What we find is they get so comfortable, they don't want to move after," said Montgomery.

The mood is then set for the lavender-infused warm towel wrap and coat treatment. But, that's not all. There's a paw-dicure to help ward off cracked skin caused by cold weather as well as a blueberry facial to help remove discoloring and hydrate fur.

As you can imagine, all this pampering works up an appetite. Chefs create all-natural daily treats and even smoothies, served up in martini glasses, garnish and all.

The dogs can't get enough with flavors like apple and peanut butter and the most popular, kale, carrots and unsalted chicken broth.

"There's none left when they're done," said Montgomery.
