Man Scalded By Boiling Water In Attack By 3 Men In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man is recovering after being beaten and scalded with boiling water in the Bronx Sunday night, police said.
Authorities said the 50-year-old man was attacked by three men at West Kingsbridge Road and Grand Avenue just before 9 p.m., 1010 WINS reported.
The assault is being investigated as a hate crime, according to the New York Daily News, which reported that the assailants hurled a racial slur at the victim before pouring scalding hot water on his face.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment.
