Police: Man Groped Girls, Ages 10 And 17, In Jackson Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking for help from the public in finding a man who groped two girls – the youngest just 10 years old – in Jackson Heights, Queens recently.

Around 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, the suspect came up to a 17-year-old girl at 35th Avenue and 92nd Street, and tried to touch her buttocks before she ran off, police said.

Around 2:50 p.m. this past Tuesday, Feb. 23, the suspect came up to a 10-year-old girl at 37th Avenue and 99th Street and touched her buttocks with his hand, before she ran off, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with fur trim, and blue jeans.

Police released two photos of the suspect.
