Man Pushes Subway Worker On E Train Roadbed Following Money Dispute

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Friday were searching for a man who they say pushed a subway worker onto the train's roadbed following a dispute over money that was found on the tracks.

Authorities said the 41-year-old worker was on a northbound E Train platform in West Village around 2 a.m. on February 12 when he got into a dispute with two individuals over money.

One of the individuals then reportedly pushed the victim onto the roadbed, causing an injury to his ankle. The individuals fled the scene and the victim was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital for medical attention.

NYPD did not specify what station the incident occurred at. One of the suspects is described as 30 years old, Hispanic, approximately 5'11 tall with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket.
