WFAN, NYCFC Announce Expanded Coverage Of Team's Second Season

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- You now have more options on how to listen to your favorite soccer team.

That's because WFAN and New York City FC announced on Friday that they have enhanced coverage of the team for its second season in Major League Soccer.

"We are proud to announce our 2016 on-air radio talent and expand our digital platforms to create an enhanced radio experience," NYCFC president Jon Patricof said. "It is our priority to bring the game of soccer to our fans in both English and Spanish through a variety of channels, empowering them to choose how they follow and support the Club."

Glenn Crooks and Tom Kolker will once again be the English language announcers. Also back for his second year as Spanish language analyst is Roberto Abramowitz, who will be joined by new team member John Rojas.

New for 2016, NYCFC will be providing links to both English and Spanish feeds on NYCFC.com to ensure fans can follow the club's home and away matches. In addition, the team has added a radio page to their website to provide up-to-date channel information. View the page here.

Spanish language game broadcasts will air on either WADO (1280AM) or WQBU (92.7FM) and the English game broadcasts will air on WFAN.com, with certain announced games airing on WFAN (66AM and 101.9FM).

"We look forward to our continued association with New York City FC and are excited that we continue to provide both English language and Spanish language broadcasts of the games including a major presence online and through our mobile apps, which include Radio.com," added WFAN program director Mark Chernoff.

NYCFC opens the 2016 season on Sunday at 2 p.m. against the Chicago Fire.
