Police: AMBER Alert Canceled For Missing 7-Year-Old Boy In Connecticut

TRUMBULL, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- New York State police canceled an AMBER Alert Saturday evening for a missing 7-year-old boy believed to be in transit.

Police said the child has been "safely recovered."

According to Trumbull Police, Ariel Revello was taken by his father Rodolfo Revello, 43, after a domestic dispute between the man and his estranged wife at a home on Unity Road at around 4:30 a.m.

Trumbull Police issued the alert late Saturday morning saying Revello was last seen in a white 2015 Ford Transit van with the license plate #C040379.

The father called police Saturday afternoon saying he dropped the boy off with relatives in Queens, CBS2 reported. He is still at large.

Police said Revello broke into the house and attacked his estranged wife while she was in her bedroom. He then got a hold of a knife, but was disarmed by a 17-year-old boy, his step-son, who lived in the house, police said. Revello took thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry before fleeing the residence with the 7-year-old boy, according to police.
