Ikea Recalls Table, Floor Lamps Due To Potential Electric Shock Hazard
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Ikea is recalling two table lamps and a floor lamp due to a potential shock hazard.
The Sweden-based retailer says cables in their GOTHEM floor lamp, GOTHEM 18-inch table lamp and GOTHEM 14-inch table lamp models were damaged while in manufacturing. Users could contract an electric shock from the items when touching the models' metal frames.
According to the company's website, the GOTHEM lamps were sold in the United States between October 2015 and February 2016.
Ikea is asking anyone who may have purchased these items to return them to their stores for a full refund.
