4 Injured In Raging Fire In Hamilton Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- At least four people were injured early Saturday when an extra-alarm fire ripped through a building in Hamilton Heights.

The fire broke out around 12:15 a.m. in a building at 601 West 151st Street just west of Broadway, officials said. The fire was raised to three alarms, the FDNY said.

Two firefighters and two residents were hurt, including one man who was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

The fire started on the sixth floor of the building in a cockloft area, the FDNY said.

The fire is under control.

There is no word on the cause.
