Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wound In Park In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A man was found shot to death in a New Rochelle park early Sunday, and police were investigating his death as a homicide.

Around 3:25 a.m., police were called to Lincoln Park in New Rochelle after multiple calls of gunshots in the area.

Officers found a man in the park who was bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

Officers performed first aid, but the man was later pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police were investigating the man's death as a homicide.

The man had not been positively identified as of just before noon Sunday, and further information was not available.
