CBS News Poll: Clinton, Sanders Beat Trump Handily In General Election Match-Up
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/CBS News) -- A new CBS News poll shows that both Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders would beat Donald Trump in a general election match-up.
Clinton has a 50 to 40 percent lead over Trump, while Sanders is up 53 to 36 percent on the Republican front-runner among registered voters.
Sanders, however, would also beat Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich in the general election, but Clinton only holds a lead over the Texas senator, according to the poll. Kasich has a 47 to 41 percent lead over the former secretary of state.

The poll also revealed that both Clinton and Trump are the most disliked candidates.
Fifty-four percent of registered voters view the former senator of New York unfavorably, while the billionaire has a 63 percent unfavorable rating.
Cruz is also view negatively among voters at 48 percent.
Sanders and Kasich are viewed more favorably than unfavorably among registered voters.
The poll was conducted by telephone from April 8-12 among 1,320 adults nationwide, including 1,089 registered voters.
