Boomer & Carton: Mets Overwhelm Phils, Yanks Underwhelm In Bronx And Booms Is Staying Put

As is generally the case this time of year, Craig is forced to sit through a brief period at the start of the show as Boomer babbles on about the Rangers.

Wednesday's episode wasn't particularly uplifting as the talk was about a 3-1 loss to the Penguins in Game 3.

What Boomer was done venting, Craig took the lead and segued to the oh-so-powerful Mets, who belted six homers in an 11-1 win over the Phillies on Tuesday night in Philly. Logan Verrett impressed once again on the mound and Craig thinks he deserves a spot in the rotation, going as far as to call Matt Harvey the weakest link in the rotation. The Mets have now won five of their last six games.

Conversely, the Yankees have lost five of their last six. On Tuesday night in the Bronx, it took 11 innings before the Bombers fell 3-2 to the Athletics.

In addition, we were assured by Boomer that he has no plans to shun the Morning Extravaganza in favor of joining Kelly Ripa after her co-host Michael Strahan, announced his plans to leave Live with Kelly and Michael to join Good Morning America.
