4/25 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

We're leaving in some sunshine this afternoon, but we'll see a few more clouds than we saw yesterday. As for temps, they'll still mange to climb into the low 70's before the day is out.

It looks like the evening starts off generally quiet, but into the overnight we'll see showers with an embedded storm. It won't be quite as cool around the area either as temps will only fall into the mid to upper 50's by daybreak.

Some leftover showers will swing through tomorrow morning; and we may see a little break in the action through the early afternoon hours, but then another round of showers and storms will swing through. Given the positions of of fronts, it looks as though it may very well be a bit warmer to our south and west (75-80+°), while it stays cooler to the north and east. As for the city, we're going for around 70° again.

Our skies will clear up on Wednesday in the wake of our cold front. We should see a good amount of sunshine by then with temps around normal.

As for Thursday, another system will approach from our south and west. So, for now, we're leaving in a chance of rain... we'll have to see how far north it advances as the system pushes from west to east.
