Police: Man In Construction Gear Tries To Rob Queens Bank
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man dressed as a construction worker who they said tried to rob a bank in Queens.
It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at a Sussex County Bank on Astoria Boulevard.
A man wearing a hard hat, reflective vest, dust mask, gloves and dark glasses walked into the bank, pulled out a gun and demanded money, police said.
But the suspect fled empty-handed and was last seen heading west on Astoria Boulevard and then north on 27th Street.
