Sources: Man Slashed In Face At Ward's Island Homeless Shelter
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A resident of a homeless shelter on Ward's Island was slashed in the face by another resident following a dispute late Friday night, sources say.
The suspect was taken into custody by Department of Homeless Service officers after the incident, which occurred shortly after 11 p.m., sources said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
