Report: 'Hamilton' Raising Top Ticket Prices To Fight Ticket Brokers
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Get ready to spend a lot more Benjamins to see the Broadway smash "Hamilton."
According to the New York Times, producers of the hit show are raising the top ticket price to $849.
That's roughly $400 more than the next-most-expensive show "Book of Mormon."

"Hamilton" is also planning on increasing the number of $10 tickets sold through a daily lottery from 21 per show to 46.
The hiked price is part of an effort to get a cut of the millions of dollars lost to the secondary market, according to the Times.
Producers also hope the changes will make the show more accessible to people who can't afford high ticket prices.
The new prices won't take effect for a while: The show is currently sold out through January.
