Boomer & Carton: A Rough Night And Early Morning For New York Baseball

Subscribe to the Boomer & Carton Podcast »

Boomer and Carton kicked off their Tuesday show from Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County with a recap of a strange and bad night for the New York baseball teams.

They began in the Bronx, where the Yankees lost to the Rangers following a 3-hour, 35-minute rain delay. The Bombers led 6-5 when play was interrupted in the top of the ninth inning but that lead disappeared shortly after the game resumed just after 2 a.m.

The Mets gave Noah Syndergaard an early lead in Washington, but the Nationals scored 11 unanswered runs to increase their NL East lead over New York to four games. After the game there were conflicting reports about a possible injury to Syndergaard.
