Officials: People Are Losing Their Cool Over Ice Cream Truck's Jingle
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Pipe down, there.
That's the message from officials to ice cream truck vendors.
New York City's Department of Environmental Protection says it has received more than 1,000 complaints so far against loud ice cream truck vendors playing their jingle after 9 p.m.
The most numerous complaints are coming from the Bronx and Brooklyn, DEP officials said.
Vendor representatives say motorcycles and other loud car radios are the source of the noise complaints, and that they're not problem, WCBS 880 reported.
