Father, 8-Year-Old Son Killed In Personal Watercraft Accident in New Jersey

SOMERS POINT, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New Jersey State Police said a father and his 8-year-old son have been killed in an accident involving personal watercraft in southern New Jersey.

The accident took place Saturday afternoon on the Patcong Creek in Somers Point in Atlantic County.

The Marine Police unit of the state police is investigating. It says no additional information is immediately available.

The U.S. Coast Guard is assisting in the investigation.
