Man Injured After Sailboat Crashes Into Jetty In Manasquan

MANASQUAN, N.J. (CBSNewYork)--  A man was injured after his sailboat slammed into a jetty off Manasquan Beach on Wednesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard launched a 29-foot-vessel to assist in the rescue of the sailboat. Manasquan Fire Department officials were the first to arrive on the scene.

The unidentified operator of the sailboat was transported by EMS with a head injury.
