Police: 3 Teens Steal Car, Crash After Pursuit In Jersey City
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A police pursuit ended in a crash in Jersey City Wednesday morning.
Three juveniles were arrested after wrecking the stolen BMW at Newark Avenue and Herbert Place in Journal Square, police said.
A Jersey City police cruiser was also damaged in the pursuit, police said.
No officers were seriously injured.
"They had, like, the whole street closed off. I was like walking up the block. A couple of cars came down, next thing you know Jersey police cars came down, they all converged over here, they got like three people," one man told CBS2's Meg Baker.
"I'm living here the last four, five years, I've never seen this kind of police chase here," another man said.
